Boogers, boogers, and more boogers!

The girls are sick. All three of us girls started feeling under the weather last week but while I have gotten better the two little ones have gotten worse. Ava sounded as though a seal had taken over her vocal cords so I took her into the doctor on Friday. He didn't say it was croup but said it was a possibility. Gave her antibiotics and prescribed nebulizer treatments. At that time her fever was 101 but her spirits were as high as her temp so she was generally still fun to be around. She even talked with the doctor and told him that she is "potty trained". :) Michaela at that time just had a runny nose and a tiny cough. Now today, Monday, Michaela sounds much worse and her fever is up above 100. So I called the doctor and kept my fingers crossed that this was something he could just call a script in for us so we didn't have to make another trip to town. (More about my latest trip to town below.) He did. So Jeff's bringing home meds for Michaela on his lunch break and we're holed up in the house hoping for healthy girls on their birthdays!! In two days Ava Reese turns 3!! And one week after that Michaela is 1!!

So the reason I do not really feel like going to town today is because I went yesterday. And ended up doing a 180 on the highway and landed myself in the ditch facing the opposite direction from which I had been travelling. I haven't been in the ditch since high school and wasn't excited about it yesterday, either. But I was well, the van was fine, and there was no traffic coming towards me. And I am still very thankful that the girls were not in the van with me. Thank you, God! And thank you to Marv and Jeff for pulling me out, fixing my flat tire, and looking over my van at the shop to make sure it was okay for me to drive. I love you both!

We will just sit tight at home for a couple of days and hope for better weather and better girls. :)
